Happy Birthday Gorgeous - Easy Handmade Gift Bag/Box Tutorial

Hello and Happy Thursday! I am over the moon excited! Today, my pre-order for the early release bundle is arriving today! Don't worry...I'll share the awesomeness when it get's here....be sure to stop by my Facebook page this evening around 6 PM ET for a Facebook Live unboxing! Trust me, you wont want to miss this one!

In the meantime, I have this cute little handmade gift bag/box tutorial to share with you, using the awesome Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set from the Annual catalog...(psst.....it will be in the next catalog too!)
This little bag is perfect for presenting a piece of jewelry, such as a pair of earrings, necklace or bracelet. It's quick and easy to make and doesn't require a whole lot of supplies. To begin, you will need a full sheet of cardstock 8.5" x 11" and a scoring tool, either your Stampin' Trimmer or your Simply Scored Scoring Tool. On the 11" edge, you will need to score at .5", 5.75", and 9.5"; then turn your paper to the 8.5" side and score at 1.5" and 8". Refer to the video tutorial for putting the bag together.

You will also need 2 pieces of Designer Series paper that measure 3.25" x 6" and 2 pieces that measure 1" x 6"; a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock that measures 1.5" x 4" and banner one end with your paper snips. Adhere the larger pieces of the Designer Series paper to the front and back of the bag/box, and the 1" pieces to the
sides. Then, fold back the top of the bag/box to seal it closed (make sure you place your gift inside before you do this). Then, adhere a doily to the front of the bag. Stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White and punch it out using the 2" Circle Punch. Punch out a piece of Lemon Lime Twist using the Starburst punch and layer them together. Add Dimensionals to the back of this and pop it onto the Bermuda Bay banner piece and attach to the bag/box front with a Picture Perfect Binder clips. Tie a bow round the clip using the Whisper White 1\8" Sheer Ribbon. You are now ready to present you gift to your favorite recipient!

Stippled Masking

Hello!
I hope everyone is staying warm in this deep freeze we're having! Good grief, today was the coldest day of the year so far, and I really hope it remains the coldest day of the year. -20 wind chill today and I think I about froze myself when I went out for a bit to meet up with some friends for a fun afternoon of painting. Which brings me to the conclusion that I need to stick with stamping! lol What do you think?
My master piece lol I will say it was a lot of fun and I will suggest that if you ever get the opportunity to do something like this, go ahead and try it. You can just have fun with it and be prepared to laugh at yourself. well at least that's what I did. I own the fact that I'm a stamper, not a painter!

Anyhoo, I have a tutorial to share with you and I made my very first video tutorial EVER! Making the video, not too bad, editing the video, I have lots to learn! I hope I don't bore you too much, but this card did turn out pretty cute. I hope you like it. It uses the soon to be retired Sky is the Limit stamp set. This is a sale-a-bration stamp set that goes away Tuesday 2/16! Not to worry, Stampin' Up! has some great replacements for it, however, you won't want to miss out on this one. Please leave me a comment below and let me know what you think of today's card and the video tutorial and thanks so much for stopping by and watching.
Have a great day!
