Sending Love in Layers

Hey there! Happy Saturday! Well, I  don't know about where you are, but here in CNY, the weather is a bit schizophrenic! Thursday it was almost 50 degrees and we had pouring rain, Friday and today, it's been FREEZING and snowing. Makes for great "stay in and craft by the fire" weather! So, that's my weekend plan. And with that, I have a cute card I put together using the Sealed with Love stamp set and  Sending Love DSP from the Occasions catalog. I know I have said this before, but I just adore this set and expect to see more of it in the coming weeks. I just can't help myself with this one. Anyhoo, here it is:

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Sealed with Love
Paper: Whisper White; Pink Pirouette; Crumb Cake; Sending Love DSP
Ink: Real Red
Tools: 2" Circle Punch; Fast Fuse; Stampin' Dimensionals

Directions:
Begin with a card base of Whisper White cut 4 1/4" x 11" scored and folded at 5 1/2", layer a piece of the DSP cut 1 5/8" x 5" to the left front of the card base using Fast Fuse, over lap with a strip of Pink Pirouette cut 1 1/4" x 4 1/4". Then cut a piece of Crumb Cake 2 1/4" x 2 1/2" and stamp the decorative heart strip in the stamp set, using Real Red ink in the upper left corner at an angle and adhere over the Pink Pirouette and DSP using Fast Fuse. Finally, stamp the sentiment in Real Red ink onto scrap Whisper White and punch out using the 2" circle punch and adhere to the lower portion of the Crumb Cake using a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals. That's it! Quick and EASY!

Thanks so much for stopping by, please leave a comment below and let me know your thoughts on this one. I did this one in my card class earlier this week and it was a hit. I hope you like it as much as my class did, but I would love to hear from you!

Happy Stamping,

Sealed with a Kiss!

Hey guys! Happy Saturday! I hope you are all enjoying your day. I am having a very productive day, not so much in the craft room, but around the house. I actually have my laundry done...and that includes my ironing! I know, it probably sounds pretty silly to some of you, but you see, I hate laundry and I especially HATE ironing! Most of the time, I procrastinate my ironing until the basket can't hold any more and I'm forced to get it done...but I only had about 5 articles of clothing that needed ironing and I decided to just git r' done! And it actually looks pretty spiffy around here. My other BIG accomplishment today, was getting all of my business receipts from 2016 in order. I did really good until August, then well, procrastination bit and they started piling up. But, I'm back on track and my 2017 New Year resolution is to stay organized in my business and around the house. That is the other thing I hate....disorganization. It makes me crazy. So, for my own sanity, this is my resolution. Lets see how well I do!

Anyhoo, I have a cute card for you today. I actually did this for the sketch challenge over on my FB page, and I am pretty pleased with how it came out. I just love this stamp set!
Supplies:
Stamp Set: Sealed with Love
Paper: Whisper White 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded 4 1/4"; Real Red 4" x 5 1/4"; Falling in Love DSP 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" cut off 2" for the bottom piece and trim off 1/4" from the top piece; scrap Whisper White for the stamped image and 1" piece for the banner; scrap DSP 1" wide for banner and scrap Real Red 1" wide for banner
Ink: Real Red
Misc: Sending Love Ribbon pack; Banner Triple Punch; Big Shot; Stitched Shapes Framelits; Fast Fuse; Stampin' Dimensionals.

Directions:
Adhere DSP pieces to Real Red, leaving a 1/4" gap between them. Wrap with ribbon from the Sending Love Ribbon pack and tie into a bow. Adhere this all down to the card base. Next, stamp the Sealed with a Kiss sentiment onto scrap Whisper White and stamp the lip image all in Real Red ink. Run this through the Big Shot with the largest circle framelit in the Stitched Shapes Framelit collection. Adhere this to the top of the card with a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals. Finally, banner one end of the 1" scrap pieces of cardstock, and trim them to stagger in length and adhere them down using Fast Fuse even with the top of the bottom DSP layer.

Yes, it was that quick and easy! Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look. Please leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts. Have a great rest of you day and Happy Stamping,
Katrina
