Hey Chick!

Well happy Tuesday! I am so glad you stopped by today. I have a cute preview of one of the most adorable Sale-a-bration stamp sets coming in January.I just love this set, it makes me smile every time I look at it.
Is that not the craziest chicken you have ever seen? To create this card, I started with a standard card base from Crumb Cake cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4". I then stamped the chicken and sentiment onto Whisper White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the chicken using the brand new watercolor pencils also coming in January. I uses the Real Red for his "hair" and trail feathers, Daffodil Delight for his body feathers and Pumpkin Pie for his beak and legs. I then used a blender pen to blend the color. I then cut him out using the largest circle in the Stitched Shapes framelits and layered it onto the card base with the plaid pattern from the Warmth and Cheer DSP stack cut at 4 1/2" x 2" and 3 1/4" x 2 1/4". This is a quick and easy card but was fun to make and it still makes me smile. You just gotta love the chickens!
I would love to hear your thoughts, so please leave a comment below. In the meantime, happy stamping,
Katrina

The Warmth and Cheer of Seasonal Bells

Well happy Thursday to you! Today, I wanted to share with you this cute card I made with the Seasonal Bells Bundle.

Instructions:
1.Begin by cutting Crumb Cake CS 5 1/2" x 11" and score and fold at 5 1/2" for the card base.
2. Cut a piece of the green plaid paper from the Warmth and Cheer DSP pack to 3 3/4" square and adhere to the center of the card base.
3. Run a piece of Garden Green cardstock cut 2" x 4 1/2" through the Dynamic Cable Knit embossing folder and adhere that to the left side of the card.
4. Cut a second piece of the Warmth and Cheer DSP pack (I used the Garden Green and Delightful Dijon plaid) cut at 1" x 4 1/2" and adhere that toward the bottom of the card.
5. Cut out a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock using the largest oval in the Stitched Shapes Framelits collection and adhere it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
6. Stamp the bell with the snowflake from the stamp set in Garden Green onto Garden Green cardstock and again in Delightful Dijon ink onto the coordinating cardstock and punch out with the Bell punch. Adhere the bells onto the oval using Stampin' Dimensionals.
7. Stamp the "Happy Christmas" banner in Garden Green ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White and cut it out using the coordinating die from the Bunch of Banners Framelits and adhere to the card above the stitched oval using Stampin' Dimensionals.
8. Finally embellish with Gold Enamel shapes in the upper right corner.
9. Using the same Garden Green and Delightful Dijon DSP, I adhered that to the envelope flap and trimmed around the shape for a perfect fit.
