Cool Treats and Sweets

Happy Saturday! Wow, the snow continues to pile up around here and it's beginning to feel like it may never stop? So, to start thinking warm weather, I decided to pull out the Cool Treats suite of product for my sketch challenge taking place over on my Facebook page. (feel free to join us!)
and it totally fit the bill. I am really happy with how this card turned out.
Now, doesn't this make you think warm summer evenings hanging out on the front porch listening to the birds sing and the peepers peep? Sorry, I got lost in my own thoughts there for a minute. Can you tell I'm REALLY wishing Spring would hurry in?
Here is what you'll need to recreate this card:
Supplies:
Stamps: Cool Treats
Paper: Peekaboo Peach 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded 4 1/4" and scrap for ice cream scoop; Tasty Treats DSP 4" x 5 1/4"; Watermelon Wonder (2) 1/2" x 3 3/4" and scrap for ice cream scoop; Pool Party 1 1/2" x 5 1/4" and scrap for ice cream scoop; Whisper White 3 1/2" square; Scrap Crumb Cake for the ice cream dish; Scrap of Early Espresso for chocolate topping; scrap Silver Foil paper for spoon
Ink: Watermelon Wonder
Misc: Frozen Treats Framelits; Banner Triple punch; Big Shot; Wink of Stella Clear; Fast Fuse; Fine Tip Glue pen; Stampin' Dimensionals

Directions:
Adhere the DSP to the card base. Add the Watermelon Wonder strips and banner one end of the Pool Party piece and adhere to the card front. Stamp the sentiment to the bottom of the Whisper White square in Watermelon Wonder ink. Cut out the ice cream dish with the Crumb Cake cardstock and adhere just above the sentiment. Now cut out a total of 3 ice cream scoops, 1 each from Pool Party, Peekaboo Peach and Watermelon Wonder, nest cut out 3 of the "fudge" toppings and adhere to each of the scoops and cut out the spoon. (Tip: when cutting out the spoon, if you like the dimensional look that I got, turn the Silver Metalic paper shiny side down when cutting it, and I placed a piece of waxed paper between the paper and the plate of the Big Shot to prevent transference of the cut lines into the paper - this provided a nice smooth spoon but it also created a curvature in the spoon), pile the ice cream into the dish, add the spoon with some Fine Tip Glue and adhere the panel onto the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals. Finally, paint the "fudge" with the Clear Wink of Stella.

I hope you enjoyed today's card. Again, please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts, I truly enjoy knowing what you think.
Happy Stamping and keep warm!
Katrina
