Painter's Pallet: A Work of Art

Hello there! Thanks for stopping by to have a look around. Today, I have another very quick and simple card to share with you. I began with a card base of Basic Black cut 4 1/4" x 11 scored at 5 1/2". I then cut a piece of designer paper from the Playful Pallet DSP stack (black and white polka dot) 4" x 3 1/4" and a second piece from the same stack (black and white hash) 4" x 2" and adhered them to the card base. I then took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the painter's easel image in Sweet Sugarplum and the sentiment in the same color in the center of the easel. I then cut the image out using the coordinating Layering Square Framelit (measures approximately 3" square) and adhered that over the card base where the 2 designer papers meet. That's it! Done, and it's really cute!

What do you think? Leave me a comment below and let me know. And remember, you can order any of the products you see here by visiting my on-line store or by clicking the links in the product description below. But be sure to try this card out, it's a winner!
Happy Stamping,

Shake Shake Shake

Don't you just love an adorable shaker card? I know! They're just so fun to just sit and play with (insert grin) and they're even more fun to make, especially now that SU has introduced the new dimensional strips in the new catalog that will be available to you on June 1st!

The new layering square Framelits also made this card as cinch to whip up in no time. One of the straight edge Framelits perfectly coordinated with this Painters Pallet stamp set and then I used the next size larger to cut the window sheet and the backing Whisper White that I stamped my images onto. I then applied the window sheet over the opening I created on the pallet, added the dimensional strips around and filled with the sequins and some Emerald Envy "sprinkles" I punched using the new Sprinkles punch coming in the new catalog, applied my stamped image face down and adhered the entire panel onto a piece of Sweet Sugarplum CS and attached that to a Whisper White card base. The one thing I wish I had done was to use my Embosing Buddy on the inside of the window sheet to remove the static, only because, although there is plenty of Shake in my shaker card, as you can see, some of the sequins are sticking due to static...but, still it's adorable, it's quick and it's easy....everything you could want in a hand-made card! So, on June 1st be sure to grab some goodies and make yourself some shaker cards to spread around and watch all the Shake, shake, shake going on!

Happy Stamping!
