Wood Words & The 2017-2019 In-Colors

Good Morning and happy Tuesday! I have to tell you, I spent the weekend in my craft room playing around with new goodies, as I am preparing for my new Annual Catalog Launch party, and the more I play with these new In-colors, the more I fall in love with them. In today's cards, I created monochromatic examples using each of the new colors using the new stamp set, Wood Words, an awesome stamp set that ranks right up there as a favorite and I really hope you enjoy these as well.
For each card, I began with a card base cut 8.5" x 5.5" scored and folded at 4.25" Then for the Tranquil Tide and the Fresh Fig card, I used coordinating colored DSP from the Eastern Palace Designer Series paper pack cut 4" x 5.25" and for the Lemon Lime Twist and the Berry Burst, I made my own patterned paper using the splatter image from the Touches of Textures stamp set and the Powder Pink I created the pattern using the dotted pattern from the Playful Backgrounds stamp set. I then cut a second piece of solid cardstock 3.25" x 4.5" and stamped the floral pattern from Wood Words stamp set onto Whisper White with the coordinating ink pad along with the sentiment from the same set in Basic Black and Fresh Fig for the Tranquil Tide card.
I hope you enjoyed today's cards and I really hope I was able to capture how awesome these colors really are for you. Please feel free to let me know your thoughts in the comments below as I do enjoy reading them. In the meantime, have a great day and happy stamping,
Katrina,

Oh So Succulent Mothers Day

Hi and Happy Tuesday and oh what a happy day it is! Today I got to place my pre-order from the new up coming catalog for 2017-2018! Now to impatiently, ehm, I mean patiently wait for it to arrive. In the meantime, I am giving some of my favorite retiring stamp sets some loving. And one of those favorites is the Oh so Succulent stamp set. As a matter of fact, I just love the entire suite for this set. Today, I made a Mothers Day card using this suite.

This card went together quick and easy. I started with a Whisper White card base cut 4 1/4" x 11" scored and folded at 5 1/2". I then cut a piece of the DSP 4" x 5 1/4" and trimmed off 2" and flipped the 2" piece around to show the opposite side of the DSP and adhered both pieces down with Fast Fuse. I wrapped the ribbon around the front of the card over the seam and tied a bow. I then stamped the succulent outline with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the solid in Mint Macaron and die cut with the coordinating die and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment in the same black ink and punched it out using the Classic Label punch and attached it with a glue dot. And to add a little something extra, I added some DSP to the envelope flap.

And that's all there was to putting this cute card together. I hope you enjoyed today's card. Please feel free to leave a comment and let me know your thought. Have a great day and happy stamping,
Katrina
