Avant Garden, One Last Temptation Remarkable Blog Hop

Welcome to the blog hop! I'm so glad you could join us! If this is your first stop, then you are in for a treat...just follow the links to lots of great ideas and wonderful demonstrator creations to tempt you one last time before Sale-a-Bration comes to an end. Today, I decided to share with you the Avant Garden Sale-a-Bration set. This set is so versatile and works wonderfully with the Cupcakes and Carousels DSP found in the Occasions catalog.
I love how this turned out with the Early Espresso ink with the contrast of the Very Vanilla and Calypso Coral. The Very Vanilla ribbon, also from the Occasions catalog provided the finishing touch on this card.
The DSP gives this card a vintage almost shabby chic look. As a matter of fact, the Very Vanilla ribbon could easily be changed out for a bit of lace from the Annual Catalog to really bring out the Shabby Chic feel but I'm really happy with how this one turned out. I hope you have enjoyed today's card. Be sure to follow the link to Janet's blog and leave comments along the way. We all truly love to hear your thoughts and I thank you so much for stopping by today.
Happy Stamping!
Katrina

All Things Thanks for Sale-a-Bration

Hello and Happy Tuesday! I got the opportunity to play around in my craft room over the weekend and I pulled out some of my new Sale-a-Bration stamp sets along with the new All Things Thanks from the Occasions catalog. I just love how this card came out and I hope you do too! I usually try to keep it to one and no more than 2 stamp sets, but I pushed it to 3 on this card and it just worked. So, here it is:
Supplies:
Stamps Sets: All Things Thanks; Avant Garden; Delicate Details
Paper: Watermelon Wonder 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"; Whisper White 4" x 5 1/4" and 2 1/4" x 5"; Crumb Cake 2 1/2" x 5 1/4"
Ink: Crumb Cake; Watermelon Wonder; Cucumber Crush
Misc: 5/8" Burlap Ribbon; Fast Fuse; Stampin' Dimensionals; Mini Glue Dots

Directions:
Begin by stamping the delicate lace image in Crumb Cake ink onto the lower portion of the larger Whisper White piece. (I placed my cut piece of Crumb Cake down and used a pencil to lightly mark where I wanted the top of the lace to fall) Then, I stamped the sentiment from the All Things Thanks in Crumb Cake onto the right side of the smaller Whisper White piece. Then, stamp the solid flower from Avant Garden in Watermelon ink followed by the stem using the Cucumber Crush. Layer this onto the Crumb Cake cardstock piece with Fast Fuse and adhere to the larger Whisper White piece lining it up just above the lace image. Adhere the entire panel to the card base using Dimensionals. Pull a couple of fibers from the Burlap Ribbon and tie a bow and adhere with a glue dot.
I hope you enjoy this card as much as I did making it. I so love the quality of Stampin' Up! and I love how you can coordinate so many different sets to come up with a great card. And, just as a side note, if you LOVE the Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush as much as I do, grab them now before they are officially announced as retiring around mid-April. Once that happens, they will fly out the door and once they're gone, they're gone and trust me, In-Colors don't last long once the retirement gets announced. Trust me!
Well, thanks so much for stopping by. Please leave me a comment below and let me know your thoughts on this one. Again, I really look forward to hearing your thoughts. Have a great day and Happy Stamping,
Katrina
